CHIROPRACTIC SERVICES & THERAPIES

Chiropractic Adjustments

The chiropractic adjustment is a procedure in which doctors use their hands or a small instrument to apply a controlled force to a joint, often in the spine. The goal of this procedure, also known as a spinal manipulation, is typically to improve joint or spinal motion or position and improve your body's physical function.

TMJ Pain and Dysfunction

The jaw is one of the most complex joints in the human body, and perhaps one of the most active. We can typically help with this pain with our specialized TMJ protocol - a short series of TMJ focused visits often will resolve the issue.

Multi Radiance Laser Therapy

Laser treatment is a non-invasive method to help reduce acute and chronic pain. This treatment is FDA-cleared and enables patients to have an alternative to drugs and surgery, taking just minutes depending on the condition being treated. The treatment must be administered directly to skin for better efficacy. You feel a soothing warmth as the therapy is administered. Patients generally see results after 2 to 5 treatments. Your doctor will develop with you a treatment plan that is optimal for your condition.

Pregnancy and Webster Technique

Chiropractic care can be safe and effective throughout pregnancy. It can also be extremely helpful, as back pain is one of the most common complaints that pregnant women face.

The Webster technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment which focuses on improving the function of the pelvic muscles and ligaments. The goal is to reduce constraint on the woman’s uterus which allows the fetus the best opportunity to be positioned for a healthy birth. This technique can be helpful with “breech babies” during the pregnancy.

Activator Method

The Activator Method uses a spring-loaded, hand-held mechanical instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument. This instrument allows chiropractors to provide a quick, low-force impulse at specific points. Some patients prefer this method because it can be used for a very gentle adjustment, and often the activator instrument will be used in conjunction with other types of adjustments.
There are some advantages of an Activator instrument-assisted treatment, such as:
High speed: The instrument is so quick that the body's muscles are less likely to tense in response, and resist the treatment. The lack of muscle resistance may facilitate the treatment’s effectiveness.
Controlled force: The applied force is gentle, localized, and the body can stay in a neutral position without bending or twisting.

Flexion/Distraction

Flexion Distraction is a gentle chiropractic procedure that is used to improve the function of spinal joints. Most often utilized for the treatment of spinal disc problems, Flexion Distraction Therapy is an effective treatment for neck and back pain and can be a safe alternative to spinal surgery and spinal facet joint injections.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)/ Graston Technique

The Graston Technique is a form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) designed for injury recovery. This therapy can help with many issues such as lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow), shin splints, trigger finger, post-surgery pain, and can help to decrease recovery time.

Kinesiology Tape

In general, it is thought that kinesiology tape helps to create balance in the neural circuitry in muscles, tendons, joints, and skin. This is thought to work to reduce pain, decrease swelling, and improve muscle performance and function. The tape is often used to support injured muscles or to prevent further injury to an area. After application, it may remain on the skin for 3 to 5 days. Additionally, tape promotes circulation to an inflamed area.
